We are a semi-rural dispensing practice in the centre of the Tendring peninsula. Thorpe-le-Soken is an old established village and a conservation area. Many of the buildings in the High Street are listed, with the parish church dating from the 11th century. The surgery has approximately 8000 patients, drawn from Thorpe-le-Soken and the surrounding villages of Weeley, Tendring, Little Clacton, Beaumont and Kirby.

The surgery is situated in a prominent location on the High Street, and it consists of a Grade II listed building with a modern, purpose built extension. The surgery was opened in this location in 1993. A branch surgery operates at Frinton Road, Kirby Cross to provide easier access to our services.

We have 2 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 3 advanced nurse practitioners, 3 emergency care practitioners, 2 practice nurses and 2 healthcare assistants, together with an administration team consisting of a practice manager, patient liaison and resolutions manager, a finance manager, reception team leader, a dispensary team, 7 receptionists and 2 medical secretaries. All members of the practice have a role to play in patient care and we work as a team with each member trained in the skills required for their position.
